Carey Clearly       Played by Rae Dawn Pruit

Rae Dawn Pruit is the founder and Co-owner of Miscellaneous Q Productions. She is also the author of En Route: Lessons from a Bus, the original book upon which "Pull Stop" is based.  She is a native of New Mexico, and spent several years in Colorado, before finally settling in Oregon.  When asked why she accepted the role of Carey after several different castings of the character, she stated, "I suppose the best person to play me is me."

    Erik Smith        Played by Andrew Murga 

Andrew has been an avid filmmaker since 16 years old, when he bought his first camera. In 2005, at the age of 22, he co-founded M3 Pictures, a video production studio based out of McMinnville, Oregon that continues to serve Yamhill County and beyond in a variety of filmmaking ways today. Andrew has over a decade of filmmaking experience in acting, directing, editing and screenwriting and in the Fall of 2011 he will be attending the University of Oregon as a Cinema Studies and Theatre Arts double major. He accepted the role of Erik because he's looking forward to the challenge of playing a blind man with the intellectual range of Erik.

Rich (a.k.a. Dick)          Played by Jerry Bell, Jr.

 

Jerry is a native of Atlanta, Georgia. He is well traveled as a U.S. Army brat and a Veteran of the U.S. Air Force. Jerry has been living in the Portland area on and off since 1998 where he developed a passion for acting. His hobbies include, Acting, cruising his motorcycle, weight lifting, traveling and shooting basketball. Jerry enjoys a wide range of movies, some of his favorites are: Armageddon, The Color Purple, Avatar, The Titanic, Training Day, etc. Jerry feels that “Pull Stop” is very easy to relate too as a military brat because anyone who has traveled has engaged in multiple facets of life. When asked why he accepted the role of Rich , Jerry says, “I enjoy engaging people who have a completely different perspective on the way things are based on their background. It’s a way of seeing the world through other lenses and learning and growing from them. That’s what I believe Carey experiences in "Pull-Stop".

   Mitch      Played by Jamezz Kramer

Jamezz Kramer is a native Oregonian who grew up in Sheridan, OR.  He attended Sheridan High School and after graduation attended Linfield College located in McMinnville, OR where he studied Communications.  He is drawn to a plethora of different films, but has an affinity for Film Noir and Hitchcock. Jamezz has a creative, artistic streak that he indulges in everything from concrete sculpture and sketching to cosmetic carpentry and vintage shopping.  Jamezz has decided to take his artistic talents and bring them to the big screen by accepting the role of “Mitch” in Pull Stop.  When asked why he was drawn to the role of Mitch, Jamezz states that he enjoys the idea of being able to take creative dialogue to another level and breathe life into someone who is bound to be a real character. In his spare time, Jamezz enjoys spending time with his wife Ramona playing outside, working on restoring their home, hanging out with friends, and always trying to discover the ever elusive “find of a lifetime” at estate sales and vintage shops.

Susanna            Played by Ramona Johnson-Kramer

Ramona is a native Oregonian who grew up in Sheridan, OR. She attended Sheridan High School, where she discovered her love of eclectic and stylistic artforms of all kind including film.  In her spare time, Ramona enjoys playing drums, vintage shopping, and checking out the sites that only Portland can offer. Ramona was drawn to the role of Susanna because her character is dynamic and quirky and she felt that only she could bring to life.

Jamison              Played by Deborah Marchant

Jonah    Played by Lennox Fleary

Lennox is a self proclaimed simple man, which is to say, highly complicated. He knows and he feels, and somewhere in the middle there is balance. He trusts God, not to be confused with belief. He is deeply spiritual and expresses that spirituality through music and art.  He believes in the power of people and was drawn to be a part of Pull Stop because he feels that he can convey the message that Jonah brings to the screen in a way that will transform audiences both in and out of the theatre.

The Gamer        Played by Steve Singleton

         

Tony      Played by Josh Brown

 

Josh is a native Oregonian and avid film and television fan.  His pop culture knowledge is almost Good Will Hunting-esque in its complexity.  Known by his friends as Taj, he agreed to accept the role of Tony in Pull Stop because nobody else could make this character, nobody.  Josh resides in McMinnville, OR with his wife Ami and son Logan, named after Wolverine. 

Katy           Played by Elizabeth Pullen

    Brad the Boy   Played by Samuel Summer  

Samuel Elliott Summer is a dedicated student of drama at the University of Iowa in Iowa City. With his focus directed towards playwriting and acting, Samuel strives for truth in these outlets; seeking genuine inspiration in the human condition. Along with his passion for theater, comes an extreme interest in the mode of film. working on screenplays of his own he hopes to, by the time of his graduation, have a full length film finished; A film that he will have written, directed and acted in. To Samuel, a degree of education means nothing without work to show for it. This sometime has an effect on his academics because time spent on passion projects is not balanced with time spent on school work. Being involved with Pull Stop is a testament to the previously stated. Instead of reading up on literature for a research paper this spring break, Samuel will be acting; creating another valuable notch in his belt.

Gina Played by Jody Spradlin
